ON Vacation...

Hey, so some of you know I have been doing somewhat of an east coat tour the last week. I am in Greensboro, NC right now... the home of my distinguished alma mater... North Carolina A&T State University... AGGIE PRIDE!!! If you don't know you better ask somebody.

So I have had little time to blog and to hit up blogs. So sorry... I am going to try to hit up some people right now... but most I wont get to until next week when I am back in NYC. I hope not too much is going on that I am missing out on.

I think I needed a short blog break anyway... so sorry...again there will be no fact or fiction friday this week... I know, don't kill me... I'm only the messenger...lol

I actually can't even keep up with them damn things so if anyone is interested in guest blogging for a fact or fiction friday hit me up off line. I would love to post something of yours when my creative juices aren't flowing in the fact or fiction direction.

My birthday week comes to an end

First and foremost I have to say thank you... to all my NYC peeps, as well as my ATL peeps. You made this year's birthday week a very memorable one. From my birthday dinner... and finally to last night my shindig at Hairston's, I had an absolute ball.

Psychic done F'd up my bday!

So on the real... I am tipsy as hell blogging this so I hope it makes sense when I come back and try to profeed it 2moro. Actually maybe I won't change anything b/c then it won't be authentic.

Aanyway, so I go to get my nails done today. Everything goes as usual until I head to the dryer.... since I was getting a manicure and a pedicure I was at the double station. So I am jamming to my ipod ... minding my own damn bizness when this lady next to me ask what I am listening to. I tell her... whatever the song was..cant remember now because my ipod was on shuffle... but then our conversation proceeds to this:

Me : (gives her the crazy side eye that causes some to cry)
HEr : No dont take it the wrong way, I am a psychic and you have so much good energy flowing from you
Me : Uh-huh- Well I don't believe in psychics
her - Well, I see that you have 2 men in your life
Me - (Looks at her with the crazy side eye that could kill the strongest of strong)
Her - Seriously, one from your past and one that is current
Me - Well I tend not to go back to the past so 1 of them doesn't matter
her - good because he is no good... the current man though could be very good for you
Me (thinking - biiiiatch, is he the one or not... dont be telling bout he could be good for me)
Her - you should come see me, I am only 2 doors down and you should let me read your palm... I love the energy I am getting from you so I will only charge $10.
Me - I thank her for the offer but let her know that I aint interested.

Can you believe that ish?

I don't believe in psychics but ever since I saw that lady I have been thinking extensively about Semipro. What if he is the one... that whole idea scares the ish outtta me. So I just left my happy hour I was hosting... and some of his teammates took him out tonight for his bday... so we have been drunk texting each other back and forth for like the last 30 min... but I definitely aint telling him about this psychic.

Anyway, my peoples...took extra good care of me tonight... I spent not a $1. Every time my drink was half way full somebody was buying me another. I was taking shots as soon as I walked in. Don't even know how much of this post is going to make sense but I didnt get many flicks since I was inebriated most of the time but here are a couple.

Sorry, I dont have more pics blog fam... but that psychic really messed my head all up. I can't even imagine Semipro possibly being "the one." The ish scares the HELL outta me. We drunk text each other a couple times since I started this post... his teammates and him just left a comedy club and they are taking him to a strip club to make it rain on the hoes. I'm glad he's having fun on his bday, like I am but I wish he was here. Me really starting to like him, is really starting to scare the ish outta me and I don't know why. I have been in love before, and maybe the fact that that nigga wasn't worthy is making me wary of being and feeling that type of way again... IDK. but I have to go to beddy bye now before I tell the blog world all my BIZ...

My Happy Birthday Dinner

So since on my actual birthday thurs we're doing the whole thing at Club 300 @ Chelsea Piers at 9pm and I may stop by the Janelle Monae show at 7pm at highline ballroom ... its FREE if anyone is interested... and tonight we're doing the Happy Hour at Covo Tratoria on 135th & 12th, my roomie Joy decided that we would do my birthday dinner last night. So she takes me to one of my fav Mexican Restaurants in the city.

The best part about this place is the HUGE margaritasJoy was a punk... she couldn't handle the La Mama, she went for the smaller margarita, the La Papa. Don't you just love how the Mama is bigger than Papa...lolMe and Joy get a little stank-a-dank-dank with it after the tequila starts to flow...lol

Then girl Melanie showed up. If you watch the GAME you know why I call her "Girl, Melanie." That, Deion & Pilar, and Ellen are probably the only shows I watch religiously on TV nowadays. I know sad right. Anyway, here's one with all the ladies!

As you can see I cleaned my plate... that California Burrito with chicken and spinach was the bomb diggity.Joy was full too!So I didn't want to go too heavy on the first night. So my second round I went for the La Papa. Every time I have 2 La Mama's I wonder how I got home. Remember 2 straws is better than 1. Because I got mine!!!!So the best thing that Bush ever did in his presidency was this whole Economic Stimulus Payment check that he's giving out. If you haven't heard, apparently he wants to boost the economy before he leaves the white house, and I'm like hell, all power to him, go out with a bang then Bush. So I got my letter yesterday that I am getting the max $600 and it will be direct deposited into my account by Friday. Did Bush know this was my birthday week? It will come just in time for me to make it rain on them hoes in ATL...lol

Obsession for Affection

You ever get to the point where you cant even function because you want affection from someone and you aren't getting it. That's where I am right now. I mean I can function, and I am getting as much possible affection that Semipro can give not being in the same city but I want something more. I don't even know what I want either. I know I don't want a boyfriend, but it would be nice to have one some time.

I have really been feeling like a dude lately. Wanting sex more than usual, not wanting to be in a committed relationship, but wanting all the benefits of having a boyfriend. My friends say I'm a PIMP, because for the most part I don't pay dudes any mind. Aren't really impressed by too much when it comes to men, and am usually mean if they approach me with some weak game.

Which reminds me, why the other night, me and Joy were leaving the crib for the Mary J Blige after party and this dude yells to me "Ma, you are too clean. I ain't gonna even try to holla at you right now because you are looking too good. I'm gon holla at you another day when your going to the laundromat or something because you are too fine right now."

Me and Joy fell out on the floor with laughter. After that, if he had actually tried to holla for real, he probably would have gotten my number... saying he gon holla at me in the laundromat mat... he was kinda cute and wit will get you everywhere with me.

Anyway, maybe the title of this post is a bit much because I'm not really obsessing but I do want the affection of a man on a constant basis. Like Friday, I didn't want to sit in the house and watch the game, I wanted to go out. But I have no real dude that I want to chill with like that so I call my big brother CL, and we go watch the game at Mobay in Harlem. I love this spot, they had this amazing blues band and we just grooved to the good music, watched the game, ate and drank. But I would love to have a boo or 2 or 3 to choose from in this situation instead of one of my boys. Is that too much to ask?

This all comes about by me getting a new phone last Friday. I got the new Blackberry Curve on VZ that doesn't even come out until tomorrow. Yeah ya girl got the exclusive hook-up. Anyway, every time I get a new phone, I go threw and delete all the contacts that don't really matter anymore before I transfer my phone book to the new phone. I realized that I have no breezies, and its really bothering me a bit. I mean I have breezies, but none that intrigue me as much as I intrigue them. The ones I only call when I am on the brink of killing myself bored, and usually send them straight to the voicemail when they call me.

Maybe I just need a change of scenery... cant wait til this weekend so I can try and nab me an ATL Boo...lol... ATL are you reaaaaaaddddyyyy?

Happy Mother's Day and Happy B-day Kaz

So I figured I would do a picture post in honor of Mother's Day so here goes...

but today is not only mother's day, it's my lil sis Kaz' birthday... so I figured I'd do a picture post paying homage to the both of them who I love dearly.

Me and her are the closest of all my siblings. Back when I was doing radio I brought her down to NC one summer so she got to hang out with me and some celebs.

Don't know why her skin looks so dark in that pic because as you can see she is high yellow and this was in the dead of winter...


This was when she graduated from High School, before she was corrupted by dick and started having sex.


She's a momma now though, so I guess I should say Happy Mother's day to her too.

Which reminds me I should also say Happy Mother's Day to my other sis Ashley.
